What is a gateway stay, and why is it on a wilderness record?
A hotel, suite or lodge in a town the trips start from: Canmore for the Rockies, Revelstoke for the Columbia Mountains, Campbell River for the coast. Most of the experiences on this record need a night on either side of the transfer, and a week of day trips needs a base. These pages exist so that night is chosen with the same first-hand information as the trip itself.
How are they priced?
