# What a trip to Spirit of the West Adventures costs, all in

> The package price for your party, plus tax and everything the tariff leaves out, from Spirit of the West Adventures's own published rates. Change any line and see the total.

Spirit of the West Adventures: from $1,795 CAD per person for the Johnstone Strait Expedition, 4 days and 3 nights sharing a tent with no single supplement, summer 2027, before 5% GST and a $25 sustainability fee; six of the eight 2027 Whales & Wilderness Glamping departures in July and August were already full in September 2026.

Read from Spirit of the West, British Columbia kayak tours (prices and 2026 and 2027 dates) on 14 September 2026.

## The package prices, 2027 (CAD)

Per person, Canadian dollars, for the whole trip, before 5% GST and a $25 per person sustainability fee. Tents are double occupancy and there is no single supplement on any British Columbia tour: a solo traveller pays the same, gets their own tent on the expeditions, and on the basecamps gets one where the limited solo tents allow.

## What the calculator adds

- GST at 5%: 5% of the package
- Sustainability fee: $25 per person. The operator's own figure: $25 per person, not taxed, donated to research and conservation groups where it operates.
- Gratuities: 10% of the package (choices: 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%). Not in the price. The booking terms suggest 10% of the tour cost, the FAQ 5 to 10%; it is pooled for the guides and base crew. Cash preferred; card tips carry 3%.
- Special-diet menu: $75 per person (off by default). The operator's fee for a gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free or vegan menu. Vegetarian, no red meat, no pork, no fish and no seafood are free.
- The night before, near the meeting point: $180 per party (off by default). Estimate. Accommodation before and after the tour is not included; the trips meet at Alder Bay, Bauza Cove or Quadra Island at midday or morning.
- Saltwater fishing licence and salmon stamp: $51.28 per person (off by default). From the operator's FAQ: about $43 for a five-day licence plus $8.28 for the salmon stamp. No fishing from the West Cracroft camp, which is in a rockfish conservation area.

Lines the operator did not publish are marked estimate in their note; the calculator on the page lets a reader change them. The enquiry it opens leads with the tariff's own currency.
