Purcell Mountain Lodge: from $2,598 CAD per person for 3 nights, double, winter 2026/27 (December to April), plus tax, with the helicopter from Golden, meals and guiding in the price, and the lodge says to call for the best rate. The guides size up the group on a half or three-quarter day when you land, then every day after is a full day out, and there is nothing on the morning you fly home. Pick the kinds of day you want and see which stay holds them. - Arrival day: 1 block - A full day: 1 block - Departure day: 0 blocks Flights land from 8:00 in summer and 9:00 in winter, so arrival day is a shorter outing; departure day is flights only. ## The outings - Meadow slopes: intro to powder: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: Winter 2026/27. Gentle slopes in every direction from the door, for a first backcountry week, casual telemark turns or younger skiers. - A glade day: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: Winter 2026/27. Well-spaced trees a short tour from the lodge; where the guides go when the alpine is in cloud. - Ski mountaineering: Copperstain and Ptarmigan: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: Winter 2026/27. 2,600 m summits and 700 m runs, several ascents stacked into 1,400 to 2,000 m days. - Deep and steep: 1 block. Seasons: Winter 2026/27. Needs at least 4 nights on site. 40-degree pillow lines and open bowls (Espresso, Gargoyle, Yurt Face) when stability allows; skied occasionally, so give the week room for it. - A snowshoe day: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: Winter 2026/27. For the non-skiers; the meadows around the lodge. - Meadow trails and wildflowers: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: summer. Groomed trails through the alpine meadow, the gentler day. - A ridge traverse: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: summer. Above the treeline along the ridges, faster and slower groups. - Mount Copperstain summit: 1 block. Seasons: summer. The summit day the lodge names; a snowmelt pond swim on the way down if you dare. ## The packages - 3 nights: 3 nights on site, 3 away. Friday to Monday, fully guided and catered. - 4 nights: 4 nights on site, 4 away. Monday to Friday, fully guided and catered. - 6 nights: 6 nights on site, 6 away. Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday.
