Moutcha Bay Resort: from $1,829 CAD per person for the Bronze self-guided fishing package, 3 nights, two to a boat, summer 2026 (May to September), plus tax, at a Nootka Sound resort reached by road 2 hours from Campbell River, with serviced campsites from $89 a night.

Read from Moutcha Bay Resort, 2026 fishing package sheet (PDF) on 14 September 2026.

## What the calculator adds

- GST at 5%: 5% of the package
- Guide gratuity, per person per night: $85 per person, per night. The resort suggests $70 to $100 per guest per day on the boat. Counted per night here, which is one day more than the packages fish; set it to 0 on a Bronze stay.
- Shore staff gratuity: 20% of the package (choices: 0%, 10%, 15%, 20%). The resort's own suggestion is 20% of your stay for the shore staff, added to your room charges on departure. At your discretion.
- Tidal fishing licence and salmon stamp: $41 per person. Estimate: Fisheries and Oceans Canada's 5-day non-resident tidal licence plus the annual salmon conservation stamp. Required, not included, and the resort asks you to buy it online before you arrive.
- A night in Campbell River or Gold River on the way in: $180 per party (off by default). Estimate for a room. Not in the package and not required by the resort; check-in is mid-afternoon at the end of a two-hour drive from Campbell River, the last stretch gravel, so from the mainland it is a long day.
- Fuel and bait, self-guided days, per boat per night: $150 per party, per night (off by default). Estimate. The rental boat rate card excludes fuel and bait; the package sheet does not say whether the packages do. Leave it off on a Gold stay.
- Pet, per night: $25 per party, per night (off by default). The resort's fee, $25 per pet per night in the chalets, yurts 1 to 4 and select Forest Cabins; not charged on campsites.
- Bar at the Conuma Grill, per night: $25 per person, per night (off by default). Estimate. The packages include the meals, not drinks.

Lines the operator did not publish are marked estimate in their note; the calculator on the page lets a reader change them. The enquiry it opens leads with the tariff's own currency.
