# How many days do you need at Knight Inlet Lodge

> Pick the outings you want and see which package holds them, using the lodge's own day structure.

Knight Inlet Lodge: from $4,365 CAD per person for 3 nights, double, summer 2027, or $4,755 in the fall bear-viewing season of 31 August to 15 October 2027 when a trip to the viewing platforms runs daily, plus 5% GST, counting the mandatory first night in Campbell River.

## How the days divide

A day at the lodge runs in four blocks of two to two and a half hours. Pick what you want to do and see how many nights that takes: the lodge plans your first full day, you choose the rest each evening.

- Arrival day: 2 blocks
- A full day: 4 blocks
- Departure day: 1 block

Landing at 9:45 leaves two blocks on arrival day; departure morning is one short one.

## The outings

- Bear viewing from the platforms: 1 block. Seasons: Fall bear viewing. Runs daily in fall bear viewing. Guaranteed once a day from 31 August. Counted automatically in fall.
- Bear viewing by boat: 1 block, worth repeating. Seasons: Spring bear viewing, Summer adventure. The core of spring and summer; most guests go out more than once.
- Inlet cruise: 1 block. Two hours up Knight Inlet: waterfalls, glaciers, pictographs.
- Kwalate River valley hike: 1 block. 4 to 8 km through old growth, usually the morning block.
- Bear tracking tour: 1 block. A slow drive down an old forestry road reading bear sign.
- Walk above the clouds: 1 block. Boardwalk to a lookout, an hour of walking, 4x4 access.
- Big cedar hike: 1 block. Culturally modified cedars, birds in spring and early summer.
- Kayaking in Glendale Cove: 1 block, worth repeating. Sheltered water, doubles and singles, coaching for first-timers.
- Johnstone Strait whale day: 4 blocks. Seasons: Summer adventure, Fall bear viewing. Needs at least 3 nights on site. A full day, mid-July to the end of September, 4-night packages and up.
- Upper inlet excursion: 4 blocks. Needs at least 4 nights on site. The far reaches of Knight Inlet; 5-night packages and up.

- 3 nights (KILGB3): 2 nights on site, 3 away. 2 nights at the lodge plus the mandatory first night in Campbell River.
- 4 nights (KILGB4): 3 nights on site, 4 away. 3 nights at the lodge plus the mandatory first night in Campbell River.
- 5 nights (KILGB5): 4 nights on site, 5 away. 4 nights at the lodge plus the mandatory first night in Campbell River.
- 6 nights (KILGB6): 5 nights on site, 6 away. 5 nights at the lodge plus the mandatory first night in Campbell River.
- 7 nights (KILGB7): 6 nights on site, 7 away. 6 nights at the lodge plus the mandatory first night in Campbell River.
